Write a Book in a Day
July 2023
I was one of a group of 12 writers (new and experienced) who met at Woodbridge in Guildford WA to write and design an entire book in just 12 hours, along the way raising money to support kids' cancer research. The parameters were emailed at 8am and submissions were due at 8pm.
November 2023 update - our book was given Highly Commended!
July 2024
We did this again, this time in the caretaker's cottage at Woodbridge.
October news is our book has been shortlisted. November news is we won Best Illustrated Book in the open section.
October September 2025
Tom Collins House
Since our lasting writing group I have joined FAWWA so I convened a new writing group this year and we wrote at Tom Collins House in Swanbourne. We were thrilled to have our illustrator Ricky Arnold back on the team. Once again, we were shortlisted. Final results we received Commended in the National open section.
