I'd love to share afternoon tea with any of these Authors

Jodi Picoult

Jodi Picoult · novels about family, relationships, love, & more

So many books and I've read every one of hers. She researches superbly, writes so well and really makes me think about current issues. I'm sure she grabs her book ideas from the newspapers as all the issues are up to date.

Cake I would make to share at our afternoon tea would be Honey cake to go with her book, Mad Honey.

Jasper Fforde

Another favourite author – looks at things sideways! Very much like my humour, particularly the Nursery Crime series, and the Thursday Next series.

Cake I would make, would be upsidedown pineapple cake to go with his humour.

Memoir of Mimi

Great book, good history lesson as well as memoir.

Cake to be served Portuguese custard tarts, brings memories from Hong Kong.

Julia Donaldson

What child doesn't love the Gruffalo? and the cleverness of mouse

I would serve Victoria Sponge, as these are the most refined of cakes which I think most suit Julia, however, I was considering rock cakes as these would suit the Gruffalo.

Anita Heiss

Anita Heiss - Author, Poet, Satirist, Social Commentator

An Australian indigenous writer of adult and children's books. I am inspired by Anita's life as a Wiradjur woman and the sheer energy she puts into her books and her life.

My favourite tea is lemon myrtle, and favourite shortbread is lemon myrtle and wattle seed so I would enjoy this with Anita.
